Cove Lights
Cove lighting is a type of lighting which is built in to areas such as ledges or valences. While it can be used as a primary lighting source, it can also be used as a decorative accent. Cove lighting conceals the fixtures which make it appear clean and simple while providing even lighting to the room. It is recommended that cove lighting is installed 18 inches from the ceiling and approximately 8 inches from the floor. A common use for cove lighting is on the top of kitchen cabinets to add light to your work space while adding a warm aesthetic to the room.
