This pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations as defined by NEC and CEC, and meets both UL and CSA safety standards. It requires T9 or T10 bulbs (not included) and is designed to accommodate substantial weight - over 50 pounds - so it must be supported independently of the outlet box unless the box is UL listed for the appropriate load.
