Add Some Greenery<\/h2>\n

Fresh or faux garland is a perfect holiday embellishment for your lighting. You can collect clippings from a tree in your yard, on a hike, or simply head to a craft store to buy fresh or synthetic greenery. While fresh pine will smell wonderful, it will dry out in time \u2013 if you want your decorations to last longer you may want to choose man-made garland. You can attach your garland to a chandelier or pendants with craft wire or ribbon. Once you\u2019ve arranged and attached all of your greens, you can keep a natural, woodsy look, or embellish further with red beads or berries, Christmas ornaments, a dusting of fake snow, or even some tinsel. Please note, greenery of any kind should only be used to decorate LED fixtures or lights with LED bulbs because they do not give off heat like conventional light bulbs.<\/p>\n

Tie a Bow<\/h2>\n

We love how Jen of The Flowering Farmhouse<\/a> ties big red plaid bows to her Heritage Market pendants<\/a>. This look is echoed throughout her kitchen with cupboards tied like packages to create a fun Christmas gift theme. This look would be great with red, green, gold, or holiday patterned ribbons. Additionally, bows would add a nice finishing touch to garland decorated fixtures.<\/p>\n

Hang a Wreath<\/h2>\n

This might be the easiest decorating tip of all \u2013 adding wreaths to your outdoor or indoor fixtures is a simple but elegant way to style your home for the holidays. You can place the wreath directly over your fixture or hang with fishing line. One thing to look out for when hanging a wreath is the weight, you will want to make sure it is not too heavy for your fixture to hold. If your fixture has a long neck, make sure that the wreath is tied or hung closest to the base where it attaches to the wall as that is the sturdiest point of the light.
