The COVID-19 crisis has affected all our lives. At Destination Lighting, we're committed to helping you improve your family's home while protecting their health and safety - and the health of our entire community.
Here's how we've stepped up to make sure you can still get the excellent service you've come to expect from Destination Lighting, while staying safe and complying with government guidelines.
Our stores in Washington, Oregon and Boise continue to be open for business, as the governor has deemed the construction industry an "essential" business that is vital to the state's economy, which includes low-income and multi-family housing that is in such short supply right now. While our brick-and-mortar stores remain open, we are closely following the state's social distancing guidelines, in addition to continually disinfecting all surfaces throughout the day with a medical-grade disinfectant to help ensure the safety of our customers and employees. Additionally, those customers who wish to not enter our showrooms may call the location to arrange a curbside pick-up for any will-call orders to help further reduce direct contact.
All our showrooms have signs up regarding social distancing protocols, as well as clearly defined social distancing marks on the floors around our customer service counter areas. We have also made hand sanitizer readily available for our in-store guests and staff as well. In an effort to further minimize COVID-19 risk to staff and customers, all stores have reduced staffing to the lowest number possible while still meeting the needs of our customers. In fact, we have encouraged many, like you, to work safely from home - where it makes sense to do so while still tending to the needs of the industry.
Our Customer Service staff is working from home for the safety of all while providing assistance during the hours of Monday to Friday 7AM to 5PM PST, Saturdays 9AM to 3PM PST, and Sundays 11AM to 4PM PST, excluding holidays. We have also closed all our physical stores on Sundays and reduced our operating hours to 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday. At this point, most stores are still open their normal Saturday 10 am to 5 pm schedule, but that is being monitored closely.
It's never been a better time to shop Destination Lighting online. Virtual shopping is the safest option for you and all our staff - and it's fast. Any items on our site are marked as in-stock, meaning they'll ship within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. We keep these items in our warehouse, so you can get them delivered quickly. Whatever lighting solutions, accessories or home décor items you're looking for, simply filter your search on our site for the term "in-stock" and you'll see which selections are ready to ship fast.
Our Portland Distribution Center continues deliveries to jobsites in Oregon only, and our trucks are disinfected regularly to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19. Most of the jobsites we deliver to are generally vacant, but if there is anyone on-site, our drivers have been instructed to avoid contact, maintain social distancing guidelines and wear facemasks for their protection and the protection of those around them.
Another great option we're working on making available to you is drop-shipping orders directly from our various vendors. This means we can take your order on the phone via credit card payment and have items shipped from certain factories directly to your home. Check out the growing list of vendors to see if they meet your needs. We're working on the details right now, but free or reduced-rate shipping costs could make this a great choice. We're also working on innovations to help minimize in-person contact for our professional-builder customers.
