Every item that uses energy created from fossil fuels such as oil or coal to operate produces carbon emissions. Destination Lighting has calculated the average amount of carbon emissions that each of our lighting fixtures releases into the atmosphere on a yearly basis. We call this the "Annual Carbon Footprint" and it is measured in metric tons (MT). According to our partner TerraPass, the term "carbon footprint" is named after carbon dioxide, which is believed to be the principal cause of global warming.

A low profile, energy savings alternative to incandescent and compact fluorescent recessed lighting in a warm white temperature (3000°K CCT). Consumes just 15-watts, up to 85% less than incandescent and 40% less than equivalent compact fluorescent lighting. Delivers greater footcandles at 8' than most 26-watt CFL recessed housings. Designed to last 35,000 hours, or approximately 20 years under normal use of 4-5 hours per day.
