I bought a outdoor/indoor dusk to dawn light the # IS SLC5BCW/SLC5BCB, i REALLY LOVE THE LIGHT IT WORK WONDERFUL i live in wisconsin the light come on at 7:30 pm goes out at 5;30 am. I am going to buy another one for my brother I love the the light.

    I bought this product because it is CFL compatible. The device would turn the CFL on & off every two minutes from dusk to dawn. I installed it on a clear-glass porch light and tried all three photo-cell covers. Did not work for me.

    Wanted to use this for our front porch light so we would come home from work to a lighted entry. Although it's a sunny day (Miami) and the fixture has clear glass, the light NEVER went OUT. Stays on continually unless you turn the switch off. Total waste of money.

    This is installed on a single outdoor light. It continually shuts off/comes back on at about one minute intervals. Have tried turning the sensor and using one of the adaptors to reduce sensitivity, but nothing helps. Also have not been able to find any tech manual on line for troubleshooting.

    Flickers on and off all night.

    We have four lights on one switch. This product did not work with this configuration. We bought four of these devices, thinking that each would be controlled individually by ambient light. Later we noted that the package says not to use if any other dimmers or similar switches on the same circuit. We removed all but one of them. Still did not work. During daylight, the product did stay off. After dark, the light controlled with this device would turn on and off about every minute. It was not a flicker, but a on for a minute, then off for a minute. We thought it might have been due to reflection off a surface on the fixture, but putting up a dark surface near the photocell to minimize reflection did NOT help. We returned all to the store. I tested the device on an indoor lamp, a single lamp on the circuit and it seemed to work with that. Perhaps it would be fine if there is only one lamp on the circuit outside, but it did not work for us. Our daughter has a photocell lamp at her house, a single lamp and they are happy with it. However, hers is not an add on photocell like this item.
